Two days later, Miyu was getting out finally from the hospital and under the firm belief that it was because she was not talking to figments of her imagination named after and looking like Jrock stars- seeing that there had been a lack of said Japanese rock stars in Miyu’s hospital room for those two days. She had found some clothing in her closet that she was getting dressed in now- a pair of dark colored jeans and a black top. She had quickly found the scar that now ran across her midsection- a pure white streak that faded out as it reached around three-fourths of the way across her front, the scar running about half-way across her back as well.
Miyu fingered the scar for a second before pulling the shirt fully down and quickly running a brush- having been sitting on the counter when she came in- through her hair. She quietly started out of the bathroom- setting her hospital gown to the side and moving to gather up the belongings that had been on her when she had come in to the hospital. She quickly noted that her ID card and MP3 player apparently had not been on her. She slightly frantically looked through her things- recalling faintly that she’d been listening to music before she’d hit the ground- and sent a few of the things she was looking through flying.
“Kso!” She cursed, reaching for the bit of money that had fallen but someone was already handing it to her. Surprised, her eyes flickered up to the person’s face to meet a set of deep blue eyes. Miyu stared blankly for a bit- unable to form words before managing out a “T-Thank you…” She quickly looked away- nervous and shaking suddenly.
“You still believe that this is some sort of hallucination?” Gackt asked, attempting to get a look at her face. Miyu gave a slight nod- face pale now.
“…But they did say I’m better so I suppose that I definitely cannot be hallucinating…” Miyu stuffed the money into her pocket as she slipped on a cuff bracelet and a set of necklaces- one a blue and black choker while the other was a longer necklace with a blood red stone with a bit of silver encasing it in a set of wings. She turned slightly towards the J-rocker and he gave a slight smile.
“Done?” Miyu gave a nod as she stuffed a phone into her back pocket with a confused look on her face as to why he would care. Gackt grabbed her arm and started towards the door. “Good- we have somewhere we need to be.” Miyu blinked in shock- stumbling along behind him as he grabbed her- now slightly torn and worn in places- black jacket.
“W-wait- what?” Miyu finally managed out as he drug her down the hallway. Gackt smirked back at her slightly as he handed her jacket back to her.
“…It’s a surprise.” He claimed as they went into an elevator and he hit the button for the second floor.
“H-Hey!” Miyu yelped as the doors closed- clutching her jacket in one hand. “Wasn’t I supposed to check out?” Gackt responded with a slight smile again.
“Hyde-kun took care of that- he will meet us at the stairwell on the second floor…” He quietly explained as Miyu blinked and he let go of her.
“O-Okay…” Miyu slipped her jacket on carefully- shock still running through her. She fixed the collar- quickly pulling her hair out of the jacket as the elevator stopped on the second floor. Gackt quickly grabbed her arm again- pulling her through the opening doors as he hit the button for the lobby. Miyu staggered out as the doors shut close behind her and he continued pulling her slightly down the second floor hallway until a hand grabbed Miyu’s other arm. Miyu gave a loud shriek of surprise and Gackt was pulled back as she was. The door slammed shut behind the two of them- their eyes adjusting quickly to the half-darkness to see Hyde leaning against the door and Gackt looked Miyu over quickly.
“Hyde-kun- why did you do that?” The taller man looked back at the other and Hyde shook his head.
“The next time you decide to do this- we’re picking the third or fourth floor…” Hyde moved away from the door and the two rock stars began pulling Miyu along as they started down the stairs. “The nurses on this floor are rabid… I’d swear that they were going to jump me…” Miyu blinked for a second- still half-staggering along behind the two as they reached halfway to the ground floor.
“We will have to get your rabies shots up then- I was worried that one of them was going to poison Miyu-chan though…” Gackt replied and Hyde frowned slightly.
“I am not getting rabies shots to protect myself from both of our fans…” Hyde gave Gackt a dark look as Gackt began laughing. “That’s not funny… Let me see you get cornered by three nurses and then we’ll see your reaction…” Gackt began laughing harder before they reached the door out onto the ground floor.
“Unfortunately for you- I don’t believe I will ever be cornered by three nurses in a hospital…” Gackt quickly opened the door and both men stepped through quickly- still pulling Miyu along behind them.
“No- for you, it would have to be a huge group of rabid fan girls and down a dark alley someplace as they chase you…” Hyde shot back as they turned towards an emergency exit for the building as Gackt thought for a second.
“That sounds oddly like a recent dream of mine…” Gackt smirked, “…except a touch more like the video I did for Illuminati…” Hyde gave a short half-sarcastic laugh, rolling his eyes as Miyu tripped over her feet in surprise.
“I would expect no less from you Gacchan…” Hyde retorted and Gackt gave another slight laugh as he pulled his sunglasses from his pocket and put them on with one hand before they reached the double doors. Hyde quickly put his own sunglasses on as they started through the doors and Miyu set her foot against the bar between the doors not to hit it. There was a harsh yank on both of her arms as Gackt and Hyde had continued- apparently not sensing her panic. Both looked back in confusion before realizing what had happened. There was an awkward pause between the three before Hyde shook his head- letting go of Miyu for the second it took for Gackt to pull her through the door.
“Thank you Hyde-kun…” Hyde quickly grabbed Miyu’s other arm again.
“I’m not about to argue over whom is pulling someone through a door Gacchan…” Hyde shook his head. “Especially when we probably have people following us…” Gackt gave a slight nod in response as they quickly made their way to a parked nearby car. Hyde glanced at his watch before cursing softly. “We’re running late…” Gackt paused- glancing at Hyde.
“I’m driving then?” Gackt gave a wide smirk as Hyde almost visibly paled before nodding.
“Yes… even though I know I’m going to regret this decision…” Miyu’s eyes grew wide as Gackt caught the keys that Hyde tossed him and pulled Miyu around to the driver’s side of the car- Hyde letting go of her again. She quickly got in as Gackt put a hand to her back to push her a little into the car. She found herself face to face with Hyde for a second before she quickly sat down completely on the car’s bench-type seat. Gackt was already turning the older model car on and Hyde paled again- quickly clipping his seatbelt into place, tugging it as tight as he could. Miyu quickly started looking for hers but there was a jolt as the vehicle was put into gear and Gackt jammed the accelerator down. Miyu gave a yelp and grabbed the closest object- eyes closing tightly as her fingers wrapped tight into fabric. Her eyes slowly opened back up again to see that she was clutching to Gackt’s arm as he sped down the road- dodging traffic here and there. Miyu gave another yelp as he nearly hit a car and heard Hyde’s foot hit the imaginary brake pedal on his side of the car.
“Relax Hyde-kun- I’m not getting as close as I could be…” Gackt smiled slightly as the vehicle swung around a corner- causing Miyu to hold tighter to his arm and give another yelp of fear but toned down slightly. The vehicle kept dodging through traffic and Miyu’s terrified yelps turned into the yells a person might give on a roller coaster ride. The brakes jerked the people in the car forward as Gackt nearly pushed the pedal into the floor and Miyu clutched tighter to him so she would not go through the windshield with a real scream this time. Hyde quickly leapt from the car as soon as it was placed into park- looking thankful to be back on solid ground. Gackt turned the car off and opened the door- pulling Miyu along with him for a second before she let go of him, still feeling the car ride and the original shock running through her. The taller man pulled himself from the car before turning a bit and reaching for Miyu’s hand again.
“Where are we?” She asked as she looked about and Gackt shook his head slightly- gently tugging her out the door of the vehicle.
“Still a surprise then.” Hyde quickly came around the car and pulled on Gackt’s shirt.
“Come on- we’re late as is…” Gackt gave a slight nod to the shorter man, starting towards the door as he pulled Miyu along- Hyde quickly following suit, hurrying to grab Miyu’s arm again as the two led her into the building. They stopped at a four-way hallway as Gackt and Hyde attempted to turn left and right respectively- effectively causing Miyu to give a loud cry of pain as her arms were yanked again. The two men quickly took a step back towards Miyu to stop hurting her.
“I thought it was this way.” Gackt jerked a thumb over his shoulder and Hyde shook his head.
“No- isn’t it this way?” Hyde gestured over his shoulder before Miyu spoke up- looking straight ahead, nodding her head slightly to indicate the direction.
“E…eto… I think it’s that way…” The two idols blinked for a second before looking forward.
“Gackt-san! Hyde-san!” A man was running down the hallway towards them- speaking for a second into a headset. Hyde gave a slight laugh as the three started down the hallway. The man with the headset quickly spoke to Gackt- pointing at a clipboard that he was holding.
“I apologize for our tardiness- we were caught up in traffic and at the hospital…” They quickly reached a room with a great number of people bustling about and Hyde gave a slight wave as he disappeared away with a group of people who were already messing with his hair and taking out makeup cases.
Gackt continued pulling Miyu along- ignoring the group of people with cosmetic products gathering around him, and talking to the man a bit more as Miyu looked at him in confusion. “Here- she needs everything- I brought the clothes-” Miyu felt him let go of her as a few people pulled her away and she felt confused but also a bit scared, “-so they should be back there…” His voice quickly faded away into the sound of the group around her.
“She has such pretty eyes.” One feminine voice said.
“Her hair is quite beautiful.” A male voice spoke.
“Needs a touch of blue-green I think…” The voices blurred again as she was gently set into a chair- her reflection staring her back from the mirror in front of her. Her face fell slightly as she quickly stared at the counter with embarrassment before a set of clothes- a set of pants with a few buckles and a slightly different tight-fitting tank top shirt with a design of barbed wire running across her body with a bit of blood- was dropped into her lap. Miyu blinked for a second in shock- ‘these are my clothes!’
“Well? Go!” Someone shoved her out of the chair and into a room by herself. Miyu stared at the door for a second before quickly getting dressed in the second set of clothes as she finally thought she had half-figured out what was going on. As she came back out a different set of shoes were shoved at her- replacing the clothes she was holding- and Miyu quickly complied to putting the shoes on- recognizing the boots as her own as well. ‘Who got into my place?’
“Hurry- we’re still running behind!” Someone pushed her into the seat again and she looked away from her reflection again. All of the people around her were chatting about her before she felt someone start messing with her hair and she closed her eyes as she saw a person with a small case of eye-shadow start towards her.
“I think this color will look the best…” Miyu felt someone touch her face for a second as people continued talking. A vague sense of nervous fear ran through her as she sensed the makeup applied to her face.
After a short period of talking and the sensation of the makeup being applied to various portions of her face it fell silent and Miyu felt worry thread itself through her body again.
“Ah… she looks…” There was a pause and Miyu kept her eyes shut for a second longer- nervously threading her fingers together before the woman spoke again, “…beautiful…” Miyu felt a bit more shock run through her as she tentatively opened her eyes to look at the woman who had spoken. The woman gave a wide smile, “Oh Yamashita-san, the eye-shadow matches her eyes perfectly!” The makeup artist stepped to the side and Miyu could see herself in the mirror- at least she thought might have been herself. Her pale complexion from being hospitalized was covered up a bit and made to look quite nice while a light, shiny blue-green had been chosen as her eye shadow but also her eyes had a thin line of pure black eyeliner- mascara thickening and curling her eyelashes slightly. A light flush rose high in her face as she stared at herself for a second.
“She looks pleased…” Someone commented and Miyu blushed with embarrassment now, head falling to one side as she stared at the floor now. That same person gave a slight laugh. She was pulled from the chair and the group led her back out even as she slightly stared at the floor. She felt someone gently pull her arm and she looked up- still feeling a little confused. Gackt gave a short smile- looking the same, seeming as if only a bit of the face makeup was fixed from whatever had worn off during the day. Hyde quickly appeared from a backroom- attempting to rush apparently- as he shooed people away from him before Gackt called to him.
“Hyde-kun…” Hyde paused, looking up at him and Miyu nearly started laughing- apparently Hyde had been in quite a rush as he had only one eye done up with a touch of black and cover-up. Gackt smirked slightly as he placed an arm around Miyu’s shoulders, “I believe your makeup needs a little work…” Miyu nearly jumped nervously at Gackt’s touch before Hyde looked at his reflection- eyes widening before he was drug out of sight quickly. Gackt gave a slight laugh with a shake of his head as Miyu shifted her feet nervously but Gackt held a little tighter to her.
“Well we can start the pictures with you two…” Someone suggested and Gackt nodded slightly. The photographer took a step in towards them, quickly snapping a picture and taking a few more before Gackt moved a little as an uneasy smile came to Miyu’s face. She felt his lips press against her temple and there was a flash of a picture being taken before Miyu’s eyes widened slightly with her half-smile still on her face. There were a couple more flashes before Gackt drew away- leaving Miyu in a state of shock before Hyde came back out- makeup fixed now to where he was simply wearing the eyeliner, bringing his eyes out quite dramatically against his fair skin. He gave a deep sigh before coming over to Miyu and Gackt- putting an arm around Miyu’s shoulder as well.
“That was embarrassing for no one to say anything until I got out here…” Miyu gave a half-nervous chuckle as the sense of shock and disbelief descended on her again. “Ah! She laughs!”
“Finally- you would think that we were kidnapping her…” Gackt commented, getting another slight, more nervous laugh from Miyu- she had been thinking that since she had been drug down the hall by Gackt at the beginning of this trip. Hyde gave a loud laugh at the implication of the statement and Miyu’s odd reaction, echoed only slightly by Gackt.
“I think she might’ve thought that!” Hyde squeezed her shoulders, “Relax… Kami-sama,” He kept laughing, “Gacchan, could you even imagine us even attempting to kidnap someone? I think we would be caught within half-an-hour…” Miyu kept silent suddenly- the fact that when she was led out of the hospital, she had not seen anyone- the thought freaking her out a little now.
“I don’t think it would be that short… I would give us at least an hour or two before someone figured it out…” Gackt commented with an almost thoughtful voice and expression. Their grip on Miyu loosened slightly as she squirmed a little out of nervousness. The flickering lights of the cameras was beginning to hurt her eyes and Gackt seemed to sense her new discomfort- allowing her to be taken to the side, “Let her rest a second- she did just get out of the hospital…” Miyu found herself quickly seated in a chair off to the side as the camera flashed a bit more- Gackt and Hyde standing back to back, the first more tense than the second.
It took a couple minutes of Gackt glancing towards Miyu before the photographer finally asked her to come back quite loudly- startling a few people and causing Miyu to jump, Gackt frowning lightly.
“Sorry…” Miyu quickly apologized- getting to her feet and starting over- looking a bit tired and nervous again. As she passed a light close to the photographer, her feet dragging slightly across the floor caused her to trip over the cord. Her arms hit the ground first as a loud cry came from her lips- landing just awfully enough that she did an inept tumble, feet flying up through the air, and her back slammed into the ground harshly. There was a rush of footsteps and Miyu opened her eyes to stare upwards- finding Gackt looking down at her with a great deal of concern.
“Are you all right Miyu-chan?” Gackt asked while looking her over- gently touching her arm again.
“Yes… just hurt my pride- I apologize for-” Miyu quietly started but Gackt shook his head- Miyu could see Hyde standing a little distance back.
“It’s all right…” Miyu gave a slight nod- wincing slightly.
“Can- Can I just lay here for a second?” Gackt gave a slight nod.
“I’m sure that it will be fine…” Gackt glanced up at the photographer and the photographer nods as well.
“Yes- we can do a couple nice pictures like this…” The camera quickly flashed a few times at close range before pulling back a bit- the man telling her a few things to do.
It was about on the tenth picture that Miyu realized that her shirt had ridden up as little- making her scar plainly visible to the camera and everyone else in the room. She attempted nonchalantly to pull her shirt back down- stopped quickly by a hand touching hers and someone leaning their back gently against her held-up leg. Her eyes quickly flickered down to see Gackt looking up at the camera. A faint blush rose in Miyu’s face as his fingers brushed the scar as he pulled her hand back a little. There were a couple more pictures taken before Gackt helped her to her feet. Hyde slung an arm around her shoulders again- causing a few more camera flashes before Gackt checked his watch.
“How many more do you need for an article?” There was a short pause.
“Another shot of you three together…” Gackt gave a slight nod before placing his arm around Miyu’s shoulders again. Miyu gave a slightly broader smile to the camera before she saw Gackt and Hyde looking at one another around her. She glanced back and forth between the two before suddenly she felt two sets of lips press against either side of her head. Miyu’s eyes widened considerably with surprise- a blush coming into her face again. There were a couple more flashes of pictures being taken before the two stars pulled away from her and the photographer gave a deep sigh- letting his camera drop to his chest. Gackt took another look at his watch.
“We’re about to be running behind again…” He commented as Hyde glanced at his watch.
“Wait, how- we have-”
“I need to pick something up.” There was a pause between the two before Hyde shrugged.
“All right… then we need to leave now…” Gackt gave a nod as he began pulling Miyu towards the door.
“Thank you for asking us to come- I’ll be back tomorrow to talk with you!” He called back as Hyde disappeared from sight again- Gackt leading Miyu though the doors and back to the car. Hyde came running back out after them, with Miyu’s original clothes in hand, as Gackt started the car up with Miyu beside him.
“Hey- Wait!” Hyde called after them and Gackt smirked slightly- pretending as if he did not hear him and starting the car forward. Hyde gave an outraged shout of “Gacchan!” Gackt quickly applied the brakes as Hyde ran in front of the car and he gave a slight chuckle before he saw Miyu’s reaction. She was staring ahead almost blankly- memories of her own body being hit by a car flashing before her eyes. Gackt paled slightly, pulling her against him and she quickly blinked out of her memory-induced haze as Hyde ran around the car quickly to the passenger side.
“I’m sorry Miyu-chan… I did not wish to scare you like that…” Miyu gave a slight nod as she felt Hyde get into the vehicle beside her- her eyes closing tight for a second.
“That was…” Hyde trailed off before seeming to realize what had happened, “I really shouldn’t have run out in front of the car…” Gackt gave a deep sigh before shaking his head and putting his foot back down on the accelerator. Miyu gently opened her eyes as she pulled back a bit but Gackt still held to her with one arm.
“I’m fine- I swear that I’m fine…” Miyu claimed as she attempted pulling back again- Gackt finally letting go of her.
“Are you sure?” He asked and Miyu nodded- face still slightly pale. Hyde put a hand to her forehead as he considered how sick she looked.
“Are you feeling okay?” He asked and Miyu gave another nod.
“I-I just feel a little tired…” Gackt smiled slightly at her answer.
“I’m not surprised…” He glanced up at a street name before turning onto the street- pulling to one side of the street to park. “Stay here- I will be back…” Gackt put the car in park, getting out and disappearing through a crowd into a store apparently. Miyu looked with confusion after him as Hyde shook his head with a sigh.
“W-What’s he doing?” Miyu asked softly and Hyde looked back around at her.
“He’s…” Hyde glanced back towards where the taller man had disappeared to as he paused, “…I don’t know actually…” Miyu gave a slight laugh and Hyde smiled back at her. “I think Gacchan will be happy to have you up and around… I don’t think he actually believes that someone rescued him…” Miyu blinked for a second.
“Why? He’s loved by so many people for his music and he seems to be an extremely kind person…” Hyde gave a slight shrug.
“That’s Gacchan for you- thick-headed and- ouch!” Hyde gave a yelp as Gackt hit him in the back of the head as he was walking past- back around to the driver’s side of the car. Hyde rubbed the back of his head, “Damn ninja moves…” Gackt gave another smile at the shorter man. Miyu looked down at the bag that hit her leg as Gackt put the car into reverse to get out of his bad parking job.
“What is that?” Hyde looked over at it as well and blinked at the bag as Gackt shook his head again, putting the car into drive.
“Surprise…” He claimed and Miyu paled slightly as Hyde laughed.
“Ah- her last surprise was a photo-shoot that wore her out, I think you’ve scared her from your surprises now…” Hyde draped an arm over Miyu’s shoulders in a comforting manner as he looked across at Gackt who was frowning now as he focused on the road ahead of him.
“Then this is something nice…” Miyu gave a slight nod to him and Hyde removed his arm from the woman’s shoulders.
“Are we close? I haven’t been to this place before…” Hyde suddenly asked and Gackt nodded as Miyu spiraled back into confusion.
“Wait- what?” Hyde shook his head.
“Oh- we didn’t tell you?” Gackt looked slightly surprised as he spoke.
“When have we had time?” Hyde asked Gackt before turning his attention to Miyu, “You’re hungry, right?” Miyu glanced back and forth between the two for a second.
“I-I suppose so…” She carefully answered, “you two are busy- you should just-”
“No- we were planning this… right Gacchan?” Hyde glanced up at the taller man who gave a slight nod- looking as if he was focusing hard on actually staying under the speed limit for once. Miyu looked down at the floor- fidgeting nervously as a blush rose in her face for a second. Hyde gave a slight sigh at her reaction, “Think of it like a… uh…”
“…Congratulations for surviving?” Gackt asked and Hyde gave a slight wince.
“Not exactly what I was looking for- but it fits in a weird way…” Miyu stared more intensely at the floor, her blush growing deeper as her fingers wrapping tightly into the fabric of her pants. There was a long period of silence before the car came to a slow stop at a red light. Hyde opened his mouth to speak to Miyu again but his taller friend suddenly caught his eye. Gackt was glancing at Miyu almost from the corner of his eye as his one hand sat on the steering wheel- shaking slightly.
“…ah…” Gackt started but did not even come close to finishing- licking his lips as his eyes flicked back to the road when the light turned green. Hyde quickly thought of anything that could possibly be talked about.
“So Gacchan- how is that new work going?” Hyde smiled as best he could as Gackt sent him a faintly disbelieving look about what he was doing.
“Which one?” Gackt quickly put his focus back on the road completely.
“Ah… either. I haven’t heard much on both the new group and the set of songs you’re working on.” Hyde watched from a sideways angle as Miyu glanced over at Gackt- the two items of conversation catching her attention.
“Well…” Gackt paused for a second before he saw Miyu’s seemingly revitalized interest. “To be honest, I am a bit stuck on my own songs- the lyrics and music seem to not want to come together… maybe you could take a look at it- I believe my brain is completely torn to bits from attempting to figure it out…” He smiled slightly as Miyu glanced partway towards Hyde as the shorter man started to speak.
“Well you could always-” Hyde spoke with a smirk before Gackt cut him off.
“Please don’t suggest the random changing of lines to English again… Not only does it look odd- it probably does not fit with the theme of the song…” Hyde shrugged- an almost goofy grin on his face as he glanced out the windshield for a second and a slight chuckle came from Miyu- causing a furious blush to rise on her face as she glanced back at the floor.
“It’s not my fault you messed up your English in a couple of songs Gacchan…” Hyde commented and received a dark look for his trouble.
“I’m not the only one- Mr. ‘It just the day for it’…” Gackt countered and Hyde took on an appalled look as Miyu began laughing softly- still staring down at her lap halfway but glancing between the two men.
“That hurts Gacchan- it really does…” Hyde held a hand to his chest in mock pain and Gackt rolled his eyes with a loud snort of laughter. Miyu gave another slightly louder giggle before clapping a hand over her mouth in horror of what she had just sounded like. Hyde gave a half-laugh before jumping subjects, “Then how is SKIN coming along?” Gackt sent an odd smile in Hyde’s direction.
“We’re here.” Hyde blinked for a second in confusion.
“Huh?” He suddenly realized that the car had come to a stop and frowned slightly, “But Gacchan- I want to know! You told me about ‘Crescent’ and ‘Redemption’ before you released those albums…” Gackt had already turned the vehicle off and was getting out as Hyde complained.
“Ah- but I told you nothing of Returner or of the tribute to Gundam…” Gackt stood, reaching his hand out for Miyu to take- that she did carefully- and Gackt gently helped her from the car. Hyde gave a deep sigh- getting out of the vehicle on his side, walking beside Gackt and Miyu as they got onto the sidewalk. “Besides- I’ve already told you about a disc coming out… and I am under orders from Yoshiki to not reveal anything…” Hyde gave a slight pout for a second before sighing again.
“Yes- I suppose that would make sense…” Gackt gave a slight smile as they continued walking; turning into a restaurant- Miyu simply looking around in amazement for a second before seeming to recall who she was with again. She looked down at the floor for a second- a full blush coming into her face, the place was nice but not glorious.
“When was the last time you ate out?” Gackt asked as someone ran off for menus and the three were quickly taken towards a table. Miyu felt eyes on her and she felt herself blushing again as she focused her eyesight on a distant table instead of dropping her head.
“Um… a long time ago…” She answered as the three were seated away from the other customers, towards the back of the dining area.
“My treat then…” Gackt quickly said and Hyde shrugged slightly.
“You loss of money Gacchan- I think I’ll order the most expensive thing just for you…” Hyde grinned as he took his seat and Miyu gave another slight laugh- Gackt looking at Hyde disapprovingly.
“Here…” Gackt quickly pulled Miyu’s chair out for her- surprising her slightly before her head bowed a little again, face bright red.
“T-Thank you Gackt-san…” She said softly as she took her seat and he gave a slight nod as he pushed her chair in a little before taking his seat finally. Hyde and Miyu sat across from one another while Gackt sat to the one side of both of them- the fourth seat at the table being unused.
“How is L’Arc~en~Ciel coming along on any new works?” Gackt questioned, as a glass of water was set in front of him. Hyde gave a slight shrug as a glass was set in front of him- filled with a dark colored liquid.
“A little- we’re working on a few new songs…” A glass of tea was placed before Miyu and she chanced a glance in Gackt’s direction before carefully taking a sip.
“Ah- working more on your solo careers?” Hyde gave a slight nod to Gackt’s question. A slightly surprised look appeared on Miyu’s face as she found her drink just as sweet as she usually liked it.
“Yes, a bit I suppose…” Hyde smiled slightly as he spoke- taking a sip from his drink and suddenly Miyu got the odd sensation that Gackt would definitely be driving wherever they were going after this. Menus were placed in front of the three and Gackt quickly handed them back- taking it almost directly from a surprised Miyu’s hand. Hyde gave a slight shake of his head before looking at Miyu, “What music do you usually listen to, Miyu-chan?” Miyu looked a little caught off-guard.
“Ah… a little of everything I guess…” Miyu blinked as Gackt spoke softly to the waiter- pointing at the menu before the waiter took the menus back away.
“Listen to a lot of rock music I would bet…” Hyde commented and Miyu blushed a little.
“Yes…” She picked a little at the tablecloth out of nervousness. It did not take that long before plates of food were placed before them as Gackt spoke to Hyde.
“Trying to figure out your complete popularity Hyde-kun?” Hyde gave a slight smirk.
“Only attempting to match you Gacchan…” The two smiled at each other.
“Well- let’s see…” Gackt pulled a small object from his pocket as Hyde began eating- Miyu following suit. “Here’s a good example of popularity…” Miyu happily began eating her noodles before she saw the object- nearly choking.
“T-that’s my MP3 player!” Miyu yelped and Gackt nodded only slightly, holding it up to the light as he turned it on.
“You have a lot of interesting groups on here… let’s see…” Hyde watched Miyu’s face grow red again and frowned slightly as he believed that the woman was going to back down and give up. Miyu attempted to snatch the player from Gackt, surprising Hyde but Gackt seemed to take it in stride, pulling back a bit.
“Gackt-san!” Miyu called out- looking around to see if anyone noticed her outburst and holding her hand out for the return of her MP3 player. Gackt held up one finger and started flipping through the songs.
“One second Miyu-chan…” He gave a grin, “There’s a bit of Alice Nine here…” Miyu reached for the electronic device again with a look of half-horror but Gackt pulled it further away. Hyde smiled slightly but looked down at the table- embarrassed about what Gackt was doing slightly.
“Gackt-san!” Miyu called out in protest.
“One second…” There was a slight pause as Gackt kept flipping through the songs, “Ah, X-Japan… that’s very nice… quite a few of their ballads…” Miyu turned a brighter red and attempted to snatch the player again but Gackt dodged with a smile. “A couple of UVERworld songs… Oh the GazettE… quite a few songs here for them…”
“Gacchan- aren’t you being mean?” Hyde asked as Miyu drew back a bit.
“I’m just pointing out what’s popular…” Gackt claimed as he skipped over a few before pausing, “A few of Miyavi’s songs as well… both versions of ‘Girls, be ambitious’, that’s a nice song…”
“Please, Gackt-san…” Miyu begged slightly and Hyde gave a deep sigh.
“One second Miyu-chan…” He suddenly stopped a flipped slower through the songs, “Malice Mizer…” Hyde glanced up at Miyu for a second, as she turned even redder. “…Syunikiss… Shi no Buto… Au Revoir… Bel Air… Illuminati…”
“Gacchan…” Hyde warned him but Gackt shook his head slightly.
“I loved performing a few of those myself, I’m glad to see someone still listens to them…” He kept going through the songs, “Luna Sea… quite a few… it’s nice to see that someone still listens to the bands that have been disbanded…”
“Gackt-san…” Hyde watched for a second as Miyu seemed to fall back into herself and became shy again after speaking.
“Here we are!” Gackt exclaimed and Hyde looked at him with surprise. “L’arc~en~Ciel!” A flush suddenly came into Hyde’s face as well.
“Now Gacchan…”
“Let’s see- Feeling Fine… both versions, a couple versions of Stay Away…” Gackt suddenly gave a chuckle, “Four versions of Ready Steady Go…”
“Which?” Hyde suddenly asked, curiosity getting the better of him and he cursed himself for a second.
“The original… and then the versions with Ken, Tetsu, and Yukihiro singing…” Gackt quickly explained and Hyde smiled slightly but frowned again. “Hm, Seventh Heaven, two versions of Round and Round… Heaven’s Drive, Driver’s High… D’ark~en~Ciel- Dark Song…” There was a long pause before he continued, “There are quite a few… ah…”
“What?” Hyde wondered before actually biting his tongue and Gackt shook his head slightly.
“A couple of hide’s songs…” He spoke softly and there was a slight moment of uneasy silence before Gackt called out, “Now, Hyde-kun- let’s see… There are quite a few of your songs here… Countdown, Made in Heaven, Horizon-” Miyu barely missed snatching the device from him again but Gackt dodged her expertly, not missing a beat, “-It’s Sad, The Other Side…” Hyde gave a slight smile at the other two’s antics.
“Gackt-san!” Miyu complained and Gackt smiled slightly as she reached for it again.
“Just one more second Miyu-chan- I wish to see the G section…” Miyu paled a bit suddenly before the blush came back full force. “Oh- here we are…” There was an extremely long pause as he flipped through the songs. “…Is half your MP3 player dedicated to me, out of curiosity?” Miyu’s head dropped before she finally managed to snatch the device from him. Her eyes stared down at the table as she spoke in an extremely low tone.
“I like what I listen to…” Miyu pouted a little as she stared down- messing with the player.
“I know- just pointing out a fact…” Gackt replied suddenly looking over at Hyde as if embarrassed of what he had just done to Miyu. “Um…” He smirked suddenly and Hyde sensed trouble for himself as he attempted to finish his meal quickly. “Hyde-kun… anything interesting happen at any practices lately?” Hyde’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked up from his empty plate.
“Gacchan- why aren’t you eating?” Miyu looked up at the two as Gackt dutifully began eating- still smiling slightly.
“You shouldn’t have attempted grabbing his hair like that again…” Gackt said, half-quietly and laughing a little now. Hyde took a large swallow of his drink before glaring at the taller man.
“I missed his shirt…” He rubbed at his shoulder half-consciously and Gackt gave a slight laugh. “What!” Hyde glared at him again and Gackt shook his head as he continued eating while Miyu quickly began eating a bit of her food again- not making it too much further through the meal before giving up with a sick feeling coming over her. She placed her bowl a small distance away from herself as she stuffed the MP3 player into her pocket. She sat nervously and kept quiet with her hands folded on her lap.
“So that rumor I heard through Yukihiro about Tetsu biting you again is true?” Gackt asked and Hyde sulked for a second- drinking his drink quickly down to over halfway. Gackt gave a slight laugh at him, “Ah, Hyde-kun you’re quite adorable when you’re attempting to be angry…” Hyde shot him an even darker glare and Gackt went back to his meal- still grinning as Hyde fumed.
“When did Yukihiro tell you?” Hyde asked in a low tone and Gackt knew that he should not mess with the shorter man any longer.
“Ah… I was going into a photo-shoot and he was coming out of one. I asked how you were and it went from there…” Gackt quickly finished off his dinner as Hyde finished his drink.
“I would order another drink but I think that you want to leave…” Hyde commented and Gackt nodded- glancing at Miyu and causing Hyde to do the same. Hyde gave a deep sigh, “That’s all you’re going to eat, Miyu-chan?” He spoke in a nice voice as compared to how he had been speaking to Gackt not that long before. Miyu gave a nervous nod- not looking up at either of them. There was a long silence between the three before Miyu glanced up at them to see that they were looking at her. Gackt and Hyde looked away, the first scratching at his neck almost with a touch of nervousness.
“We’re not embarrassing, are we?” Gackt asked Hyde softly and Hyde shook his head a little.
“Best to ask her…” Hyde muttered back and Miyu blushed slightly, looking back down at the table for a second.
“But what if we are?” Gackt murmured back, glancing at Miyu again.
“Wouldn’t you want to know?” There was a pause before Gackt shook his head and Miyu smiled slightly, quickly hiding her smile behind her hand. “Ah, Gacchan- you have so many problems with women…” The shorter man clapped Gackt on the shoulder as he spoke, smiling again finally.
“I know…” Gackt gave a deep sigh and stared at his half-empty glass of water almost sadly. Hyde gave another laugh as Miyu gave a slight giggle, trying to cover it up as best as possible.
“All right- we need to get out of here before it gets too much later… and Gacchan gets too much more depressed about his ability to hit on people.” Hyde got to his feet and Gackt smiled with a nod, getting to his feet.
“And Hyde-kun doesn’t drink too much more right now…” Miyu quickly got to her feet as Gackt held out his hand for her and she gently took it. Hyde smirked slightly- hand to his chest again.
“Ah- Gacchan, you love poking fun at me, don’t you?” Gackt gave a slight laugh with a shake of his head as he led Miyu towards the front door of the restaurant, Hyde giving a slight smile again as he walked beside the two.
“Your place, right? I suppose you’ll have to drive again…” Hyde gave a deep sigh as Gackt paid for the meal and the three walked outside.
“I suppose so…” Gackt glanced with a slightly worried expression at Miyu. Miyu seemed to be swaying a little- quite pale now and she gave him a tired smile.
“I-I think I can find my way home… uhm, thank you…” She moved to walk away but Hyde grabbed her arm quickly.
“Uh- but you’re not looking well Miyu-kun…” Miyu shook her head as she attempted to pull back from Hyde.
“I’m just worn out, a little tired…” She quickly claimed as Gackt took her other arm gently.
“Then I can take you to your home…” Miyu gave a slight nod after a second before they walked to the car- Miyu leaning heavily on the two men.
“T-Thank you…” She said as she got in the car on the passenger side and Gackt got into the driver’s seat. Hyde quickly got in after having helped Miyu into the car and paused as he saw Miyu leaning on Gackt- eyes lightly closed as he started the car up. There was a long silence between the two stars as Miyu dozed, still worn out from her day.
“…You don’t know where she lives, do you?” Hyde asked, looking straight ahead. There was a pause.
“No…” There was another pause.
“Then we’re technically… really kidnapping her this time?” An even longer pause.
“In a… vague sense- we’re really just making a stop for a long time before taking her home…” Hyde gave a slight chuckle at Gackt’s answer.
“I hope no one misses her tonight then… and that she thinks the same way you do.” Gackt paled slightly, nodding quickly, making Hyde give another slight laugh.
