The car came to a stop in front of a house and Gackt turned the vehicle off- glancing at Miyu leaning against his shoulder as she slept lightly. Hyde gently reached over and pulled Miyu towards himself- allowing Gackt to get out of the vehicle. The taller man paused for a second, pulling a set of keys from his pocket before giving both sets to Hyde and picking Miyu up extremely gently so as to not wake her. Hyde quickly got out from the car and paused as he was stuffing his keys into his pocket, holding Gackt’s in the other hand. He stared across the hood at the two- Gackt held Miyu against his chest as her face pressed into his shoulder, supported under her legs and across her back by his arms. Gackt smiled down at her as she moved slightly.
“Don’t you two look cute together…” Hyde smiled softly as he spoke and Gackt looked up at him with surprise.
“What?” He stared at Hyde- seemingly caught completely off guard. Hyde gave another soft laugh, shaking his head.
“Never mind…” Hyde started around the car, towards the front door of the dark house, flipping through Gackt’s keys to find the house key. Gackt followed him- a confused look still on his face.
“No, Hyde-kun, what did you mean by that?” Hyde gave a sigh and made a ‘sh’ noise, gesturing at the still dozing Miyu, causing Gackt to fall completely silent as he looked down at her again.
“I’ll tell you later… if I feel like it…” Hyde grinned again as Gackt made a slightly annoyed noise. Hyde quickly unlocked the door and peered into the dark house for a second- knowing that there was not a light switch to hit to bring light into the room. He stepped to the side to let Gackt by and the taller man disappeared inside- still carrying Miyu in his arms.
“Hyde-kun…” Gackt called after an extremely long silence and Hyde gave a deep sigh before staring inside.
“You know I don’t have night-vision cat eyes like you Gacchan…” He received a low chuckle for a response.
“Would you please get the door?” Gackt asked after a second and Hyde paused before pulling his lighter out, flipping it open. The dim light cast shadows on both Miyu and Gackt’s faces and Hyde nearly jumped. There was a slight pause. “The door, Hyde-kun?”
“What’s going on?” A sleepy voice asked and Gackt looked down at Miyu.
“Ah... You’re up… Go back to sleep…” Gackt smiled softly and rocked Miyu slightly tighter into his chest. Hyde quietly opened up the door and saw that it led to a bedroom- probably Gackt’s own, Hyde wouldn’t really have known but he knew how chivalrous Gackt tended to be about women and overprotective he was of those he cared about. Miyu gave a soft complaint as she wrapped her arms around his neck for fear of falling.
“Where am I?” She softly moaned.
“Gacchan’s place- we don’t know where you live…” Hyde explained and Miyu gave a slight laugh.
“Someone does- these are my clothes…” Miyu nuzzled into Gackt’s neck as if she thought he was a pillow or something. Hyde turned and gave Gackt a dark look and the taller man gave an innocent smile as if attempting to blow off the implication that he knew where she lived.
“Gacchan…” Hyde said in a low tone before Miyu suddenly seemed to realize where exactly she was and she nearly flipped out.
“G-Gackt-san! Put me down!” Miyu shrieked loudly, attempting to get down from his arms. Gackt gave a slight smile- holding tighter to her.
“Not until you call me something less formal.” Gackt claimed and Miyu gawked openly at him for a second.
“B-But Gackt-san I-I shouldn’t do- I mean- I couldn’t…” Miyu stuttered as Hyde watched- slightly amused at the whole thing.
“It’s simple Miyu-chan… try…” He glanced up at Hyde- smiling slightly, “Gacchan- try that one…”
“Gackt-san!” Miyu protested and Gackt shook his head.
“No…” He answered her simply.
“But-But… P-put me down…” Miyu floundered for a second, looking towards Hyde for support. Hyde shook his head at her with a look of sympathy- showing how little if any true control he had over Gackt.
“Try the less formal name Miyu-chan.”
“But- I-I…” Miyu’s head dropped downwards in defeat. “G-Gacchan… please put me down…” Gackt gently placed Miyu down onto her feet with a soft smile.
“There we are Miyu-chan…” Miyu blushed deeply as Gackt gestured outwards in the dark room- Hyde barely managing to make it out with the dying light from his lighter. The taller man disappeared away and Hyde grinned slightly before tugging lightly on Miyu’s arm.
“Come on- he wants us to sit…” Hyde saw a candle and quickly lit it, the red candle casting more soft slight in the dark room. Hyde lit a few more as he walked Miyu over to the couch in the room. Miyu quietly sat herself down as Hyde lit all the candles he could find in the room. Gackt smiled as he came back into the room- carrying three champagne glasses and a bottle of wine it appeared to be.
“Good of you to light those, Hyde-kun…” Hyde gave a deep sigh.
“You know I can’t see in the dark Gacchan…” Hyde complained and Miyu gave a slight laugh at him as Gackt placed the glasses and the bottle upon the table- sitting down on the floor. Miyu nervously made to sit down on the floor but Gackt stopped her with a slight touch to her arm.
“No- stay there… you’re all right.” He claimed as Hyde sat on the floor opposite from Miyu and Gackt- picking up a glass with a smile, lighter snapped shut and stuck in a pocket.
“So you’re insisting- despite the fact that I have to be up early tomorrow?” Hyde said and Gackt blinked at him.
“You have to get up at nine, Hyde-kun…” He pointed out and Hyde smiled slightly.
“Exactly.” Gackt shook his head and opened the bottle- pouring a generous amount into the two of the glasses and giving one to Miyu before handing the bottle to Hyde.
“Well since I have to be up earlier than you- I suppose that I should let you have the bottle then…” Gackt smiled around his glass as he took a sip and Hyde smirked back.
“If the person who has to get up the latest should be in charge of the bottle…” Hyde grinned at Miyu as she sat in a state of shock again- attempting to figure out the situation as she stared down at her glass.
“That would work- this is technically for her…” With Gackt’s statement, Miyu’s head snapped up to look over at him.
“Huh?”
“Kanpai- a small party for you, Miyu-chan.” Hyde raised his glass- filled to the brim almost- towards her before drinking the better portion of it down.
“W-what?” Miyu blinked in surprise- mouth dropping open slightly. Gackt gave a slight laugh, raising his glass up as well for a second.
“I figured that after being trapped in a hospital for two weeks and nearly dying three times that you deserved some fun, Miyu-chan… and Hyde-kun agreed.” Gackt took a deep drink from his three-fourths filled glass before glancing at Miyu again. Miyu was turning a bright red again- bringing color into her still partly pale cheeks.
“Y-you shouldn’t… I don’t…” Her head dipped slightly.
“Please- will you attempt to pretend that the two of us are normal people?” Gackt asked- a slightly hopeless look on his face and Hyde looked up from finishing off his drink. Miyu blushed even deeper as her fingers tightened around the glass that she had yet to take a sip from. “Just think of it as…” Gackt looked towards Hyde for help.
“Uh… a… um… thanks?” Hyde attempted and Gackt ran with the idea.
“-For saving my life. Just think of it like that.” There was a long pause before Miyu took a deep breath and looked up at Gackt with a smile. Gackt returned the smile, “Now will you have a drink? It’s quite good Miyu-chan.” Miyu smiled slightly.
“Yes.” Miyu quickly lifted the drink to her lips- taking a long sip. There was a pause as Gackt watched her expectantly as her eyes widened slightly and she took another sip. “This is… really good.” Hyde gave a slight laugh.
“Of course it is- Gacchan always picks up the best that he can for drinking… He’s quite accomplished at it as well.” Gackt gave a slight laugh- shaking his head a little.
“You would know Hyde-kun… you’ve ‘only’ been drinking here for five years.” Gackt smirked at him as Hyde rolled his eyes, taking another long sip off his glass.
“Ah, whose fault is that?” Miyu gave a slight laugh at them, drinking a bit more from her glass. Hyde smiled at her- watching only slightly as she became more relaxed. “So Miyu…” The woman looked up with a bit of surprise, “What exactly do you think of the wine?” Miyu gave a smile as she looked down at it- taking another sip and considering it before swallowing.
“I think…” She paused to smell the drink before continuing, “It smells wonderful- very strong with the fruit scent and you can barely smell the alcohol…” Gackt leaned back, taking a deep drink from his glass, and Miyu jumped slightly as his head rested against her leg- eyes staring up at her.
“Take another sip- I don’t think Hyde-kun was asking about the smell… He likes the alcohol better…” Miyu stared down at him as Hyde gave a slight complaint before grinning. Miyu lifted the glass to her lips again- taking another, longer, sip off it as she kept staring at Gackt.
“Tastes wonderful too.” She finally spoke after a second- having swallowed the mouthful. Gackt smiled up at her softly, gesturing for her to continue and she took another sip to comply. “Gives a taste of a fruit- probably a berry…” She paused to think a bit more on the taste.
“Another sip perhaps?” Gackt questioned, taking a deep drink from his glass. Hyde covered his mouth to prevent himself from breaking into fits of laughter; he knew what Gackt was doing- tricking Miyu into drinking more than she probably would have around them.
“Mm…” Miyu thought for a second before giving a nervous smile and taking another sip. “Ah… tastes like…” Hyde couldn’t help starting to laugh a little as he finished off his first glass. “…raspberry I think… wait… yes- raspberry with a touch of…” She sipped again at the drink, plainly not hearing Hyde giggling like a schoolgirl as he poured himself a second glass, “…I think it’s a touch of…strawberry.”
“Are you sure?” Gackt asked- smiling softly still. There was a pause before Miyu shook her head. “Take another sip- be sure.” Miyu complied by taking a deeper drink from the glass, causing Hyde to almost outright laugh around his glass that he was drinking out of now- having already filled it up. Gackt grinned in his direction, almost attempting to shut him up with the dark look behind his smile.
“Yes- definitely strawberry…” Miyu affirmed after swallowing- an odd-looking happy smile on her face- causing Gackt’s attention to shift back to her.
“Hm…” Gackt took another sip of his own drink. “Anything else about the drink?”
“Yes-” Hyde spoke, smirking, “-it has a lot of alcohol in it, Gacchan.” Gackt looked at Hyde with pure surprise- having been caught off-guard by the shorter man’s response. Miyu began laughing at Hyde’s reply and nodded slightly- holding her glass up a little- showing how fast the alcohol was loosening her up.
“I agree- a lot of alcohol…” She considered her drink for a second before taking another sip and Hyde did the same. Gackt watched her curiously for a second before finally removing his head from her leg- sitting up to drain the last of his glass.
“So- back to earlier- what else was on Miyu’s MP3 player? You never finished.” Miyu paled- returned to what the two stars knew as her regular self.
“H-Hey! I’m right here!” Miyu blushed deeply before Gackt smiled almost evilly.
“But Miyu-chan- we want to know exactly what you’re listening to…” Gackt said, Hyde snickering along with him softly.
“B-but… It’s my MP3 player!” Miyu vocalized as her fingers quickly closed around the object in her pocket. Hyde smirked as he saw her.
“It’s in her pocket Gacchan!” Hyde shouted as he took a deep drink and Gackt grinned up at Miyu.
“Oh really?” He set his empty glass to one side as he smiled at her- causing Miyu to hold her glass up in defense as Hyde filled Gackt’s glass back up with wine. Gackt pulled the half-full glass from her hand and quickly set it to one side- Miyu pulling backwards away from him.
“No- Gackt-san!” Gackt frowned at her loud shout.
“I thought we were past that formality, Miyu-chan?” Miyu paled slightly as Gackt started after her, his eyes gleaming mischievously.
“O-of course Gacchan b-but-Ah!” Miyu gave a loud yelp as Hyde grabbed her from behind- having slipped over while Miyu was more focused on Gackt.
“Quick! Before she kicks me- grab the MP3 player!” Hyde grinned and Gackt quickly dug his hand into Miyu’s pocket- retrieving the device as Hyde was kicked by a slightly freaked out Miyu. The two stars pulled away quickly- Hyde nursing his newly bruised shin with a wide grin as Gackt turned the MP3 player on. Miyu pouted slightly as she grabbed up her glass, quickly drinking down another half of her drink.
“Ah-she’s cute when she pouts, Hyde-kun.” Gackt pointed out to his best friend- Hyde replying with a soft “Aww” noise but Miyu responded with a dark glare to both of them.
“Even cuter when she’s angry, ne Gacchan?” Hyde elbowed Gackt softly to get the taller man to look back up at the still glaring Miyu.
“Ah, yes- adorable.” Gackt smiled as he started flipping through the songs again as he looked back down from Miyu.
“Why are you two so mean? I thought you were supposed to be nicer…” Miyu muttered and the two shot her wide, white-toothed grins.
“I didn’t think we were ‘mean’ per say, Hyde-kun…” Gackt looked over at the dark-haired man beside him and Hyde shrugged slightly.
“Well look at what we’ve done today to her…” Hyde responded with a smile, “Dragged her to a photo-shoot, stole her for dinner… and kidnapped her back here.” He punctuated the last statement with a dark look in Gackt’s direction. Gackt gave a slight smirk to Hyde’s remark- ignoring the shorter man as best he could.
“Hm- let’s see… me, me… me. I’m quite serious Miyu-chan, is half your MP3 player dedicated to me?” Gackt quickly covered- it working as Hyde rolled his eyes and Miyu blushed with a glare set on her face still.
“It is not!” Miyu protested but didn’t move forward to take the MP3 player away from him as she had while in the restaurant. She finished off her drink quickly and Hyde gave a grin as he poked the bottle a little in her direction- as if attempting to give it as a peace offering.
“Ah- finally, someone else…” Gackt announced with a playful tone and grin. Miyu gave a deep sigh before setting her glass on the table- reaching for the bottle to till her glass but Hyde was already pouring the wine into her glass.
“T-thanks…” She said quietly and Hyde nodded- offering another smile as she took her filed glass back- sipping on it.
“Exist Trace… that’s interesting.” Gackt glanced up at Miyu- considering her for a second before shrugging. “Then again I’d suppose not. You do seem to be into Visual Kei.” Hyde blinked for a second- having to put together quickly that despite the fact that he wasn’t Visual Kei, a lot of other groups on Miyu’s MP3 player were. He shook his head slightly- knowing that his first drink he had gotten at the restaurant was effecting him greatly now.
“Hyde-san… are you all right?” Miyu asked- sounding concerned. Gackt looked up at her with slight surprise before looking over at Hyde.
“Fine.” Was the only answer Hyde provided with a grin and Gackt gave a slight laugh.
“Probably wishing that he had gotten something a little less strong with his dinner…” Gackt remarked to Miyu causing both Miyu and Hyde to give slight laughs.
“You know me so well Gacchan…” Hyde shook his head slightly as Gackt returned to Miyu’s MP3 player to find that Miyu was attempting to steal it back. She gave a weak smile- having been caught leaning half on the table and standing near Gackt. Gackt returned a grin as he pulled away from her- starting through the songs again.
“There are a couple of Duel Jewel songs on here…” Gackt told Hyde as Miyu pulled back on the electronic device carefully- keeping the smile on her face.
“Really? Now that’s interesting…” Hyde smiled slightly as he watched the two- propping his head on his arm as he sipped from his drink again.
“Not really.” Miyu responded as Gackt pulled back lightly in his direction on the MP3 player, causing Hyde to give a chuckle of amusement at the two.
“Ah- a bit of Dir en Grey as well…” Gackt claimed and Hyde smirked at the fact that the taller man seemed as if he was attempting to half ignore the woman he was practically having a staring contest with.
“Which ones?” Hyde questioned, wanting to see how far it would go and what would happen. Miyu pulled back again.
“Give me one second-" Gackt pulled the device back towards himself, “…Yokan… Ain’t afraid to die… Saku…” Hyde gave another laugh as Miyu yanked back on the player.
“What else is there?” Hyde asked and Gackt pulled back on the player, making Miyu scowl at him.
“Uh… D’espairs Ray… a few of those and-” Hyde gave another laugh as Miyu yanked it back again.
“Gacchan…” Miyu gave a slight warning and Gackt smirked at her before pulling back on the device but reached out and pulled Miyu down into his lap as well. Hyde gave a slight chuckle again- turning away slightly and sipping at his drink again as Miyu went into a short state of shock.
“And there’s also a Bana song here- Shell… then the few Alice Nine songs- Fantasy, White Prayer-” Gackt continued, holding Miyu against him and nearly speaking into her ear. She shivered slightly at the feeling of his breath on her ear, “-Number Six… Anything else you’re interested in, Hyde-kun?”
“Well since you’re at that end… which X-Japan songs are on there?” Hyde asked and Gackt started flipping through the songs again as Hyde handed Miyu her drink. Miyu suddenly attempted to pull away from Gackt but he held her fast since she still had not let go of the MP3 player.
“There- sip at your drink Miyu-chan- is Tears, Weekend, Crucify my Love, Endless Rain-” Miyu attempted to move again, “Don’t spill your drink- Voiceless Screaming, Miscast, Rose of Pain-” Gackt held tighter to her to keep her from spilling her drink on him, “Careful Miyu-chan- Silent Jealousy, Forever Love, Rusty Nail…” Gackt looked at Hyde. “Anything else?” Hyde considered him and Miyu before smiling.
“What GazettE songs?” Gackt smirked back before starting through the songs again- until Miyu decided to try something different. She snuggled back against him and he froze- grip on the MP3 player loose suddenly. Miyu pulled free with her player and glass in hand, as Hyde began laughing at Gackt’s reaction to her. Miyu put the player away again and took up a spot on the floor, opposite from Gackt and Hyde with a slight smile. “Ah- Gacchan, I believe you’ve been outplayed by that last move…” Gackt frowned slightly as he looked at Hyde.
“I just wasn’t expecting her to react in that fashion so quickly- what would you expect?” Gackt quickly answered picking his glass up again to take a long sip out of it.
“Aw- but Gacchan, you’re supposed to be some sort of romantic, sexual vampire god to half the world and not be surprised or scared of things like that.” Hyde explained and Gackt set his glass down again, giving Hyde an evil smile.
“Well… wouldn’t you be surprised if I was to-” Gackt suddenly leaned over and placed a kiss to Hyde’s lips- making the shorter vocalist jerk backwards with a shocked look on his face. There was a short pause as Miyu stared blankly at the two- wine glass tipped to her lips- and Gackt drank again from his own glass, leaving Hyde in a general state of shock for a short time.
“T-that wasn’t fair Gacchan- I had my mouth open and everything…” Hyde finally managed out, going back to his drink fairly red-faced now. “Though you have a good point…”
“Of course- if something happens like that and it wasn’t expected or planned upon- that sort of reaction does occur, Hyde-kun.” The two suddenly seemed to come back to the fact that Miyu was still sitting opposite from them and they carefully looked at her. Miyu sat still- glass still to her lips and wide eyes as she glanced between the two of them. Gackt gave a slight chuckle- leaning his head on his arm and watching the woman carefully for a second, as if gauging her full reaction to what had just happened. Miyu’s eyes focused on him as Hyde had not moved and he was simply watching her. A smile akin to the one he had before kissing Hyde appeared on Gackt’s face and Miyu shivered slightly under that gaze. Hyde glanced at Gackt to see what exactly the taller man had done and he had to resist sighing.
“Uh…” Was the only noise Miyu made and suddenly Gackt began laughing.
“Miyu-chan, you shouldn’t be so insistent on holding that up- your lips are going to be stained.” Gackt claimed and Miyu’s eyes widened further as she rapidly took the glass form her lips- nearly spilling it.
“What! This would do that?” Miyu looked down at her glass with a mix of shock and horror. Hyde blinked- her reaction not matching the one he had in mind. Gackt looked only slightly surprised but he smiled and nodded slightly.
“Yes- wine can do all kinds of interesting things Mi-chan.” Miyu paused before looking carefully up at Gackt, confused over the changing of her nickname. Hyde glanced over at Gackt, also a bit confused- knowing that the Mi-chan was more personal.
“Like change my nickname?” Miyu asked, head tilting to one side softly as she looked at Gackt. Hyde got the slight sensation that she was attempting to judge how fast the alcohol had gotten into the taller man’s system. Gackt responded with the same posture and a mysterious smile.
“Possibly…” Hyde gave a sigh finally- setting his head down on the table, after finishing his glass, to watch the two again. Miyu reached out and poured more wine into Hyde’s glass without taking her eyes from Gackt’s eyes or barely even changing how she was leaning on the table.
“That’s interesting…” Miyu claimed and Hyde stared at his glass before glancing up at Miyu- who was almost finished with her second glass.
“Uhm… Arigatou-gozaimasu Miyu-chan…” Miyu smiled slightly in response as she kept watching Gackt- who held up his glass after another short pause in the talk.
“Another drink Mi-chan?” There was a short pause before Miyu lifted her glass up as well.
“Kanpai Gacchan…” He grinned at her response and gently tapped his glass against hers, the gentle noise ringing across the room. The two finished off their glasses nearly at the same time with long sips of the wine. Gackt reached over and lifted the bottle up- pouring more the drink into both of their glasses.
“Tell me about how you got here Mi-chan.” Gackt requested- sipping at his drink and Miyu shook her head.
“N-no Gackt-san…” Miyu answered, “That’s… not really that important.” Gackt paused to stare at her for a second before shrugging slightly.
“If you think so Mi-chan…” Gackt sipped at his drink again as Hyde pulled himself up to drink at bit more of his own. Miyu smiled happily at the taller man not pushing the issue.
“So then… Let us hear about the music you like… What’s your favorite song and everything…?” Hyde chimed in quite cheerfully and Miyu blushed deeply.
“Ah… you don’t want to hear such things…” She quietly answered and Hyde shook his head.
“No- I want to know, I’m interested Miyu-chan.” Miyu blushed slightly again- eyes staring down at her drink.
“Then just name some of your favorite songs…” Gackt suggested and Miyu chuckled.
“Almost all the ones on my MP3 player are my favorites.” She answered and Gackt nodded.
“I figured as much- but what are your favorites out of that?” Gackt smiled and Hyde nodded his head enthusiastically. There was a slight pause before Miyu nodded.
“I… I suppose I could say something about them…” Miyu looked about a little nervously.
“Well… start with X-Japan.” Hyde grinned and Miyu weakly smiled back.
“I suppose that would be good…” She carefully retrieved the MP3 player from her pocket and set it on the table beside her. Hyde eyed it for a second before snatching it up with a triumphant grin. Miyu gave a deep sigh as she watched it go and Gackt shook his head with a smile.
“Hyde-kun… and you berated me earlier for the same behavior…” Hyde paused to consider the comment and his taller friend for a second before deciding upon an answer.
“But at dinner, Gacchan, she never gave it up willingly… thus I could give a slight scolding.” Hyde gave Gackt a wicked smile as he spoke- layering his voice with an almost ‘mother explaining to a child’ tone. Hyde turned back to the MP3 player almost too happily as Miyu gave a slight giggle of a laugh as Gackt looked at Hyde with a slight look of disbelief.
“And you snatch it and everything’s all right?” The taller man pointed out and Hyde looked back at Gackt for a second with slight surprise before it seemed to sink in. He pushed the device back across the table like a child giving up a favored toy as he watched Miyu for some sort of response. Miyu watched him for a second- tilting her head to one side before she gestured with one hand that he should keep it. Before either Miyu or Gackt could blink, Hyde already had the player back up in his hands, flipping through the songs again. Miyu watched him curiously for a while as she continued looking through the songs- a grin on his face. “Mi-chan… that wasn’t a good idea… He’ll never give it back…” Hyde stuck his tongue out at Gackt before suddenly getting distracted- pulling his tongue almost half back into his mouth. It looked as if he had forgotten it there as he concentrated on going through the songs.
“Aw… he actually looks really cute…” Miyu muttered before she pulled back and sipped at her drink again. Gackt frowned slightly before taking another long sip from his glass.
“So what were those X-Japan favorites again?” He asked and Miyu looked up with slight surprise at the taller man.
“Ah…yeah…” Miyu flushed slightly and looked down at her drink- running her finger around the rim. Hyde suddenly froze- eyes focusing over on the glass as if emitted a clear pitch and he simply stared at it as Miyu spoke again. “I think one of my absolute favorite X-Japan songs would have to be… probably Tears… either that or Crucify my Love…” She gave a slight smile to her glass, “I enjoy all of their ballads and a few others…” She glanced up and stared at Hyde for second- realizing that the noise that had gotten the shorter man’s attention. Gackt turned slightly to look at Hyde with a slightly confused look at the look on Hyde’s face. Miyu quickly stopped running her finger around the glass but Hyde continued staring at the glass.
“Hyde-kun, are you all right?” Gackt questioned and Hyde suddenly leapt up from the ground as if having been electrocuted.
“Be back in a second!” He disappeared away- running as he pulled his cell phone out. Miyu stared after him for a second before sitting back a bit- folding her hands nervously into her lap.
“D-did I do something wrong?” She asked- glancing up at Gackt for a second. Gackt shook his head- looking after Hyde still.
“I’m sure he’ll explain it once he gets back…” He paused to glance back at the table to see that Hyde had taken the MP3 player with him, possibly out of thoughtlessness. Miyu fidgeted a bit nervously and there was a long pause before Hyde returned- a slight flush on his face and excited looking. He was still holding Miyu’s MP3 player in one hand as he shoved his phone back into a front pocket on his white shirt.
“Sorry…” Hyde gave a slight smile. “Ideas hit at odd times…” Gackt smiled- laughing slightly.
“Hyde-kun- you’ve been hanging around me too long, usually that would be me running off like that.” Hyde gave a slightly embarrassed smile.
“Sorry again…” He glanced over at a still slightly nervous looking Miyu. “I… haven’t worried anyone- have I?” Gackt glanced over at Miyu as Miyu shook her head- realizing that the question was focused on her.
“N-no… I just… thought I may have done something wrong.” Miyu’s head fell as she stared down at her lap and Hyde sat back down.
“Really? You’ve done nothing wrong…” Hyde grinned slightly as he took a sip off his glass again. “That was a really bad attack of inspiration Miyu-chan.” Miyu blinked at the shorter man for a second.
“From the glass ringing?” Hyde nodded slightly- running his finger around the top of his glass and failing to make a noise. Hyde gave a soft frown and Gackt smiled as Hyde tried again, failing a second time.
“It fits in with the style of the new song that I’m thinking about.” Hyde attempted to make the noise a third time before looking at Miyu’s glass again as he failed. Hyde set Miyu’s MP3 player to one side- reaching over and pulling the woman’s glass toward himself. Miyu watched with a half amused look as Hyde tried again with her glass and Gackt picked up Miyu’s player with a slight smirk. Hyde scowled with a perplexed look as he only managed a half ring before it died. Miyu gave a slight giggle before anyone said anything.
“What are your favorites from the GazettE?” Gackt asked- flipping through the player.
“Taion, Relia...” Miyu paused- her own quick response catching her by surprise. “Ah…”
“Miyavi?” Gackt glanced up at the woman for a second and she paused.
“Neo-Visualizm… Girls be Ambitious…” She answered slowly- watching the taller man carefully.
“Malice Mizer?” Gackt asked with a sly smile and Miyu let a slight blush overtake her features but managed to look back at him decently.
“Thinking Under Moon… and… Illuminati.” Gackt smiled slyly again- not even looking at the device now.
“Hyde?”
“Huh?” Hyde looked up from attempting to make Miyu’s glass ring- finger sitting on the edge.
“The Cape of Storms, Made in Heaven, Hello… a couple others…” Gackt tilted his head but seemed satisfied with Miyu’s answer and both of them ignored Hyde for that second and Hyde scowled slightly as he attempted running a different finger around the top of Miyu’s glass. It made no noise so Hyde pushed it across the table and glared at it as Miyu went back to drinking it.
“…L’arc~en~Ciel?” Gackt ventured after sending a worried look in Hyde’s direction- seemingly more about the man’s mental health than the subject at hand.
“Ah… Revelation, I Wish 2007, Drink it down… Shout at the Devil…” Miyu set her glass down and thought for a second- finger in her mouth before she spoke again, “… a few others as well…” There was a long pause as Gackt watched her for a second. Miyu pulled her finger from her mouth and placed her hand over her glass. The room fell into complete silence as Hyde continued staring at Miyu’s glass- becoming depressed. Miyu ran her finger around the glass- it ringing for the second it took Gackt to speak.
“Me?” Miyu nearly knocked her glass over and stuttered for a second.
“Ah… um…” She gave Hyde a slightly panicked and feeling bad look but Laruku’s vocalist had gone back to attempting to make the glass ring- a childish looking scowl on his face.
“Too personal Mi-chan?” Gackt smiled slightly, “What are your personal favorites from Gackt’s music?” He smirked as Miyu stuttered on for a second. “Yes?” Miyu’s head dropped slightly as she quickly realized that she wasn’t getting away that easy.
“Lots…” She finally answered and Gackt frowned.
“More specific Mi-chan.”
“Lost of your songs…” Miyu muttered and Hyde finally looked up at her before smirking as Gackt frowned a bit more.
“Just a bit more specific Mi-chan…”
“Isn’t it obvious? She means that she probably likes almost all of them…” Hyde frowned slightly as he unabashedly picked Miyu’s hand up to inspect it for any tricks to getting the glass to ring. Miyu blushed, glancing at Gackt before focusing her eyes on what Hyde was doing.
“Is that true Mi-chan?” Miyu didn’t look up at Gackt’s question but slowly nodded. Hyde took Miyu’s index finger and ran it around the rim of his glass. He raised an eyebrow as the glass rang softly but clear. He lifted Miyu’s hand up- stared at the one finger for a bit before running it around the rim again. Gackt watched the two carefully now- falling silent.
“How the hell…” Hyde scowled as he ran his finger around his glass’s rim- failing to create any noise again. Hyde stared at the glass for a while before running his thumb over Miyu’s index finger. He paused, thought for a second before repeating the action and Miyu shivered. Hyde paused to stare at Miyu’s hand again before his eyes got big and he let Miyu’s hand go. Gackt began laughing at the look on Hyde’s face and Miyu swore that a light appeared above the shorter vocalist’s head. Hyde stuck his finger into his drink- paused and glanced at Miyu again. Miyu smiled slightly and Hyde ran his finger around the glass- the glass emitting a soft ringing noise. Hyde gave a beaming smile, “Yatta!” Hyde blushed as he looked up at a laughing Gackt and a smiling Miyu. Hyde stuck his wet finger in his mouth, “Sorry…”
“It’s all right Hyde-kun… it was a nice bit of comic relief…” Gackt smirked and Hyde scowled before removing his finger from his mouth.
“It’s not my fault I didn’t know how to do that…” The shorter vocalist pouted before running his finger around the glass’s rim again- creating the ringing noise a second time. Hyde grinned victoriously again before Miyu gave a slight laugh. He looked back up at the grinning faces and scowled before giving a deep sigh. “What were we talking about?” Gackt paused for a second.
“Ah- yes…” Gackt reached over and picked up Miyu’s MP3 player. “Mi-chan’s favorites.” Hyde grinned as he took a drink from his glass- watching Miyu turn pale.
“Yes- that.” Hyde placed his glass back down as Miyu picked hers up quickly- drinking down half of her glass as Gackt turned the player back on.
“Let’s see- I believe I left off…” Gackt trailed off in thought before Hyde spoke again.
“You got me, you, L’arc~en~Ciel, Malice Mizer, Miyavi… ah… the GazettE… and X-Japan.” Hyde looked back down with a smirk and Gackt nodded.
“Thank you Hyde-kun… Now…” Gackt paused slightly again to flip through some more songs. “How about…” There was a long pause.
“I think… you got everything earlier…” Miyu quietly spoke and Gackt gave a slight nod.
“Unfortunately… I have to agree…” Gackt set Miyu’s MP3 player to one side and Hyde picked it up to flip through the songs for his group again with a soft smile. Gackt gave a smirk as he tilted his head- causing Miyu to give him a worried look and drain the rest of her glass. “What other groups do you enjoy listening to?” Gackt spoke as he reached out and filled Miyu’s glass again. Miyu shook her head- almost answering before she was cut off.
“Gacchan- do you have headphones?” Hyde was looking curiously at the MP3 player and Gackt blinked at him in surprise.
“Ah… no…” Gackt shook his head. “Miyu’s were mostly destroyed when… ah…”
“I was hit by the car…” Miyu stared blankly at her drink as she finished Gackt’s statement- dimly recalling her body flying through the air again. Gackt gave her a slightly worried look and gently touched her hand.
“Sorry…” Miyu shook her head- pulled from her daze- and pulled her hand out from under his.
“Why? Nothing’s your fault…” Miyu took a long sip off her drink and Hyde nodded- looking around the room.
“Anything I can plug this into?” Gackt blinked at Hyde again- caught off guard again.
“Ah… I don’t believe so…” Gackt gave Hyde a curious look, “What are you so insistent on listening to?” Hyde set the player to the side with a slight frown.
“She has some old demo tapes… I wanted to listen to them again…” Miyu blushed slightly.
“It’s really bad quality…” She claimed and Hyde smirked slightly.
“It’s a demo tape, Miyu-kun…” Miyu’s eyes widened slightly before her blush deepened and she scowled at Laruku’s vocalist.
“I know that…” Miyu sunk down a bit- taking a long gulp from her glass as she sulked. Gackt gave a slight laugh at her as Hyde sipped innocently at his drink.
“What were the other bands?” Hyde asked and Miyu blinked- confused and caught off guard before she realized what he meant.
“I… don’t know.” The woman claimed as Gackt finished his glass off and dumped the last of the bottle of wine into the glass- drinking that last bit before getting up to retrieve another bottle.
“How many are we drinking?” Hyde asked and Gackt smirked.
“I have no idea Hyde-kun…” Miyu blinked at the man as he returned quickly with three more bottles. Hyde gave a giggle, pointing at the bottles as they were set down on the table.
“Apparently a lot of them!” Hyde quickly finished his glass and reached for a new bottle as Gackt took a seat next to Miyu.
“Maybe…” Gackt replied- glancing at Miyu. There was a pause as Gackt filled his glass up before Hyde lifted his glass into the air.
“Kanpai?” Miyu giggled at Hyde’s question before lifting her glass up.
“Kanpai.” Gackt quickly followed suit- smiling broadly.
“Kanpai…” The three glasses clinked together and the three quickly drank their glasses down. Miyu heard a giggle from Hyde before the vocalist put his head on the table.
“I think I got the wrong drink at the restaurant…” Laruku’s vocalist gave another giggle before clapping a hand to his mouth almost comically. Gackt filled up Miyu’s glass, followed by Hyde’s then his own while Miyu began giggling almost in the same fashion as Hyde.
“One could think that…” Gackt claimed- pulling Miyu’s glass towards himself. Miyu frowned and pulled back on her glass.
“I want another sip…” Miyu complained and Gackt gave a slight chuckle.
“But I don’t want you to get completely drunk Mi-chan… I don’t know if I’d like you like that…” Miyu scowled and kept pulling back on the glass.
“I don’t get worse than this… Just a slight bit more incoherent.” Gackt let go of the glass gently and Miyu quickly sipped at her glass. “Thank you Gacchan…” A slightly surprised look ran across Gackt’s face.
“That’s good- you didn’t need to be prompted to use my nickname Mi-chan.” Miyu blinked at Gackt’s statement.
“Really? …Well- you did ask me to use that one instead, right?” Miyu smiled slightly- looking down at her glass with a blush.
“Yes- that’s true.” Gackt suddenly gave a wide grin, “I should attempt to get you drunk more often…” Miyu paused to stare at him for a second before beginning to speak.
“Gacchan- that’s not-“ She was cut off by a slight noise from Hyde and glanced over at the vocalist. Miyu suddenly gave a loud laugh- attempting to muffle it with a hand over her mouth, causing Gackt to look at Hyde. Laruku’s vocalist still had his head on the table- the hand that had been over his mouth lying on the table next to him as a slight snore came from him. Miyu continued giggling before she lost her balance slightly and fell to one side. She felt her head hit something soft and blinked upwards.
“Mi-chan… what are you doing?” Gackt asked, tilting his head slightly as he looked down at her.
“Uhm… being unable to keep my balance…” Miyu said- attempting to get back up but Gackt’s hand pressing downwards on her chest stopped her. “Gacchan- let me up…” Miyu eyed her glass for a second and Gackt quickly realized what she wanted.
“If you’re falling over- then I don’t want you drinking anymore.” Gackt gave a small smile at Miyu’s scowl.
“Can I finish it then?” There was a long pause before Gackt nodded- setting his glass down and guiding Miyu’s toward her lips. The woman’s eyes widened as she stared up at Gackt and the glass brushed against her lips. She carefully lifted her head up a little to drink the remainder of the glass as her eyes fluttered closed for a second before Gackt drew the glass back- running a hand through her hair. Miyu leaned her head into the touch with her eyes still gently shut.
